Meet Abber Knott

My background is and has been in Real Estate development and sales. I was raised for generations of Real Estate development and contracting. It began with my grandfather and his brothers. My grandfather Charles Henry Knott had a successful career developing residential and commercial development. He bought a farm and developed the property to be Social Security administration today in Woodlawn, MD. He built the sister on Notre Dame and structures at Mercy Medical Center, Union Memorial Hospital. He also developed and invented tilt up wall developing.  My father worked with him after college to learn that he wanted to go on his own.

My father eagerly began a general contractor business. William H Knott Inc built and developed many offices all over Maryland. Class A and B building, flex etc. Began a developing business with my mom Susan Knott called SK Properties when I started to work. SK purchased multifamily and soon moved into office, strip centers and flex. SK has done a few housing developments in Jessup and Baltimore county. My Father has been retired with a small hand still in the bag. I have listened to their success while sitting in the backseat of the car when my parents chatted about business. At that point, I always knew I would be a part of that world. I have been an entrepreneur at heart. After College, I opened up a snowball stand at the beach in Florida during the year of El Nino, that was not FUN but exciting. Then I continued onto more exciting opportunity opening up a Roast Sweet Corn on the cob stand for NASCAR, Airshows, music Venues and good ole festivals. It was a blast, hard manual labor, much focus on product waste, cost and income to determine the next years success.

After kids, I moved into working with my dad. Part of my bucket list… I worked with my father developing active adult community from raw land to selling properties. Buying, developing property in the commercial realm. Guilford Mews is one of our residential developments. As my father, will never sit still, but is retired, I went out on my own again to begin another uplifting adventure.

Charities that are near and dear to my heart!
